If you look at health across time, there are certain checkpoints where your health status will reflect if you have or have not established certain variables throughout your life. Establishing and optimizing these intrinsic variables are the foundational aspects comprising Sandra’s healthstyle metabolic makeover and the method she teaches her clients. 

From balancing hormones through the various phases of puberty, reproduction and beyond to optimizing mobility and physical output, optimizing your healthstyle can’t begin soon enough. Sandra specializes in metabolic optimization, detoxification, weight loss, digestive health, reverse-aging, and balancing hormones. With a client-centered approach, she works to uncover the root cause of imbalances and guides individuals toward long-term, sustainable, optimal health.

She earned her Specialized Honours in Kinesiology and Health Sciences from York University, while also starting on the varsity volleyball team. Sandra went on to graduate from the Institute of Holistic Nutrition with First Class Honours, on the Dean’s List, becoming a Certified Nutritional and Orthomolecular Health Practitioner. She is further credentialed in Acupuncture, Clinical Detoxification and Clinical Iridology. Sandra stands on the shoulders of giants in the industry, having completed continuing education courses with Dr. Perry Nichelston and Dr. Courtney Hunt. She continuously researches advancements in holistic health, functional nutrition, and integrative therapies. Incorporating her expanding knowledge into her own life and her client offerings.

Sandra represented Canada on the FIVB World Tour and won two silver medals at the Ontario Provincial Championships. She won a bronze medal for Canada at the IVVA 2024 games in Spain. And she is presently still competing at the provincial and national level. As an athlete she understands first-hand the discipline, mindset and physical resilience required to pursue peak performance. Especially given that her opponents are more than half her age! Sandra credits her Healthstyle for equipping her with the staying power she has been able to enjoy with each new season as longevity in the world of sport is a feat in and of itself.

Sandra’s unique journey as an elite athlete, combined with her extensive training in alternative health modalities, has shaped her comprehensive and integrative approach to wellness. Her practice is rooted in the belief that true healing begins at the cellular level—focusing on restoring energy, enhancing vitality, and achieving natural beauty from the inside out.

Away from her Health Intrinsic headquarters, you’ll find Sandra in the kitchen, at the market, on the beach court, in the gym or walking her beloved cat, Louie.

Health Intrinsic Fundamentals

1. CHARGE

We are solar powered and the sun is the optimal health food. Your mitochondria feast on it. Harness the power of sunlight to reset your circadian rhythm, boost your mood, support hormone production, make vitamin D, heal your skin and more. Aligning your routine with the multiple spectrums of light available throughout the day will drastically improve your health on multiple levels, including deeper sleep, sharper focus, and sustained energy. Early morning and late afternoon light (especially near sunrise and sunset) offers the most benefits with minimal risk. Like all powerful tools, sunlight should be used wisely—gradual, consistent exposure is key.
